Find your correct ring size

YOU’LL WEAR YOUR WEDDING RING EVERY DAY, SO IT’S VITAL THAT YOU GET THE RIGHT SIZE. HERE ARE SOME TIPS AND ADVICE ON HOW TO FIND THE CORRECT RING SIZE FOR YOU.
  1. Start
  2. Find your correct ring size

When you buy a ring it’s important that it’s the correct size. This is especially important for a wedding ring, which you will hopefully wear every day for a long time to come. You can find your ring size either by measuring the diameter of a ring you already have or by measuring the circumference of your finger.

When measuring, it’s important to remember that some things can affect your fingers, making them larger or slimmer than normal. On hot summer days, your fingers can swell up. On cold winter days, they often get slimmer. Your fingers can change size even during the course of the day. Many people find their fingers are larger in the evening. Your ring must be big enough to fit your finger at its largest, but not so big that it could fall off on a cold winter day.

Tried-and-tested method

To get an exact ring size, we use a tried-and-tested method based on measuring the circumference of your finger. You can even measure your ring size in the peace and quiet of your own home. Make sure you measure your finger when your hands are warm, preferably in the evening. Measure the finger on which you’re going to wear the ring, as the size may differ between your right and left hand. The ring also needs to be big enough to pass over the knuckle, which is often a bit thicker than the rest of the finger.

Start with another ring

If you have another ring that feels comfortable and is a good fit for the finger you intend to wear your wedding ring on, you can use it to find out your ring size. Ideally, you should use a ring that’s roughly the same width as your wedding ring, because a wide ring needs to be a bit larger than a narrower ring if it’s to fit your finger comfortably.
