Bye Bye 2009 and Hello 2010
So many things important things happened 2009 some made me hilarious and some sad. Obama became the president of USA, YES! Michael Jackson took a definite moonwalk, NO! Our Crown princess Victoria finally gets to marry Daniel, YES! I got married, YES! My mother passed away, NO! Life, you never knows what tomorrow brings. You hope for the best. Like my grandmother said: ”why worry, it might never happen”. Always look at the bright side of life…
I have started a new exciting collaboration with the jewellery company “I do” in China. In November we opened a ”shop in shop” in Shanghai and one more to come in Beijing in March 2010. I’ve designed a special collection of wedding rings for “I do” and this is now on the Chinese market. This is an interesting test to see what we people who lives a world apart have in common. But as I always say, humour connects all people. I always have a great time when I am in China. I am trying to learn some Chinese to connect better with my new friends over there.
We are also breaking into new markets in Europe. Spain marks the first official business venture for us outside the Nordic Region. Working with Sara and Joakim at Björklund Trading, whom have established sales in Valencia, Barcelona, Bilbao and Madrid. And in Holland we have a new agent, Wim, at The Trendcompany who is our ambassador in the Netherlands. I have more plans for 2010 to get my ”Beauty with a thought” jewellery out there!
About the latest jewellery pieces the limited bracelet 2009 “True Colours” was released in the beginning of December. I’ve only made 999 pieces. This time I used semi precious stones in different colours. Of course the inspiration of the name came from the song ”True colours” sung by Cindy Lauper. Were you one of the lucky and got it for Christmas?
ATTLING MAN has been a success, of course you guys want to be cool, hip and show your personality. “Attling Bracelet” is a bracelet in braided leather with a heavy silver latch with “Attling” stamped into it. The leather is black and the bracelet looks great on both men and women. A new version of my first “hit” jewellery “Homo Sapiens” comes now on a ballchain with an “army dog tag” hanging instead of leather as earlier.
May I wish you a Happy New Year and remember…the best is yet to come…!
Peace, love and understanding,
